Artist Statement
我創作上使用的主要媒材是繪畫與陶瓷雕塑，這種可以比較仰賴直覺的表現模式，主要想要展現在我自己創造的宇宙裡的時間和空間交錯的瞬間；在一個沒有草稿而直接開始的過程中，利用色彩比較鮮明的顏料一點一點堆積組合，並以充滿想像的生物作為作品結束的形式。這樣的生物靈感是來自於卡通，動畫以及神話故事當中，造型浮誇, 設定荒謬的角色被反映在我的潛意識當中，進而轉化成新的創造物。在我看來過去與未來並不是相反的，而是彼此相對的，就好像黑洞與白洞一般。而藝術的角色就是蟲洞，將這兩面連結在一起。
近幾年我開始利用椅子等人造物的形象在畫面當中，企圖將我想像中的我的世界和現實中接在一起，擴大空間在藝術表現中的可能性。
The main media of my practices are paintings and ceramic sculptures. These are the medias that can easily express from the instinct. Through exploring the power of art, I would like to discuss how art can connect the past and the future. Starting without a sketch, the process of making art is to stack different layers of colours and to finish it with kinds of creatures that full of imagination. The inspiration of the creatures is from the exaggerate and absurd characters in cartoons, animations and mythology that reflect in my subconscious which later been transformed into a new form of creations. In my opinion, the past and the future is not opposite but relative of each other as the White hole and the Black hole. And art can be considered as the wormhole to connect the both.
